A new facility at Shell’s Parramatta Terminal will allow the oil giant to sell Biodiesel 20 (B20) to a New South Wales market. Currently B20 is only available from Melbourne.

Shell Vice President Downstream Andrew Smith said that during a recent engagement with commercial customers, more than 50 per cent of respondents said they would consider using the fuel in their fleets for either environmental or taxation reasons. Another 36 per cent said they would consider using it because of the positive environmental aspects.

Shell’s biodiesel fuel is made up of diesel with a bio component produced from vegetable oils or animal fats.
